"...and bless the man who invented sleep, a cloak to cover over all human thought, food that drives away hunger, water that banishes thirst, fire that heats up cold, chill that moderates passion and, finally universal currency with which all things can be bought, weight and balance that brings the shepherd and the king, the fool and the wise, to the same level." Don Quixote, Vol. 2, Ch. 68

Our first visitors

Our first visitors in Madrid were Nick and Traci Gray, friends dating back to OBU college days. They stopped in town for a few days as they were winding down a European tour. We ate at Tony Roma's one night. The next day we picked up were only good friends can - Nick and another new friend in town helped us move. Saturday we strolled through Retiro park and observed all the weekend performers out on the sidewalks. Then we stopped at Starbucks, a 10 minute walk from our place, and marveled at Nick's knowledge of this global franchise. We hadn't seen N&T for over 2 years, since they've been living overseas. Now they're on their way back to the US - so how cool is it that we got to meet up with them in Madrid?!

Hi guys! It's good to see pictures of you and hear about your adventures. I feel like I was just there in Madrid, but I know that I am now, literally, a world away! We love you!
