"...and bless the man who invented sleep, a cloak to cover over all human thought, food that drives away hunger, water that banishes thirst, fire that heats up cold, chill that moderates passion and, finally universal currency with which all things can be bought, weight and balance that brings the shepherd and the king, the fool and the wise, to the same level." Visitors

This weekend we had friends in town visiting from our church in Waco, TX. Matt (on the left) is on staff at the church. He and his wife, Holly, are dear friends and we miss seeing them. If you've had a chance to view Josh's video of him singing about his friends, Matt is Lucy Jane's daddy - just to make a small connection for you.

Mike (on the right) is the pastor of our church and it was great fun getting to hang out with him. Last night after dinner out on the town we were in search of some dessert. He found a great pastry shop! I can see myself becoming a regular there - thanks Mike!

They're in town until Tuesday so we may hopefully get to see them some tomorrow after their morning meetings. It's so great seeing and talking to old friends. Although it took a bit to place the familiar faces, Josh was excited too - especially since they brought him some Life cereal (his favorite), the muppets DVD, and a rescue hero!

Hey guys--Holly and Lucy here! Wish we could've been there to hug you all too. Glad you had time together, though. Matt really enjoyed it. This morning we are digging out of our pile of traveling laundry and watching Lucy do her latest thing: sucking on her toes! Love you guys.
